Sample a wide selection of MW tunes from our studio & live discography:
Compilations:
Released August 5, 2003. Players: Everyone! Produced by The Mojo Wire. Remastered by Keir DuBois. Spanning our five-year history of resolutely unprofessional Isla Vista rock & roll, this new Mojo Wire compilation puts all of our best stuff in one place, now all remastered and including previously unreleased material. Everyone gets a chance to shine on this one. This is also the only Mojo album currently available on CD.

Demo Albums:
Released December 15, 1997. Players: Adam Hill- vocals/guitar, Bryn DuBois- guitar, Keir DuBois- bass guitar/backing vocals, Brandon Klopp- drums. Produced by The Mojo Wire. All songs written by The Mojo Wire and copyright 1997 except "Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out" by Jimmy Cox. This disc was our first set of real demos and as such is a bit messy, but I think that works more in its favor. Almost all of the songs were at least a year old by December 1997 and had been solidified by regular gigging. I'm still proud of the way it holds up to repeated self-indulgent listens. Overall it's a nice document of the way we were at the time- a year after we started out and playing the songs really tight and focused. Album Notes
Released April 8, 1998. Players: Adam Hill- vocals/guitar, Bryn DuBois- guitar/keyboard, Keir DuBois- bass guitar/backing vocals, Brandon Klopp- drums. Produced by The Mojo Wire. All songs written by The Mojo Wire and copyright 1998. Of our four demo albums this is the one I listen to the least- in hindsight it sounds like we were overreaching ourselves a lot. Most of the songs were brand new, and hadn't had the benefit of a year's worth of gigs to evolve, hence the second half of nebulous art-rock fluff. Many of the lyrics haven't aged too well either. It's not unlistenable, but it does sound rushed now. It sounded like a great idea at the time and just doesn't live up to itself anymore, but several of the tunes have gone on to bigger and better things. Album Notes
Released April 20, 1999. Players: Adam Hill- vocals/guitar, Bryn DuBois- guitar/keyboard/drums/vocals, Keir DuBois- bass guitar/vocals/backing vocals, Kevin Nerison- drums. Produced by The Mojo Wire. All songs written by The Mojo Wire and copyright 1999 except "Wipeout" by the Impacts. "Seaside" is a collection is some of our best songs, but recorded in probably the worst possible way in 4-track mono. It took a while to finish them all- most of the songs are from 1998, when Bryn and Adam went to Baja and I was on my own in Isla Vista. An OK record, and it kind of gave us an acoustic "surf-noir" sound. Album Notes
Released June 3, 2001. Players: Keir DuBois- vocals/bass guitar; Joe Zulli- lead guitar; Adam Hill- vocals/guitar; Bryn DuBois- drums/guitar. All songs written by The Mojo Wire and copyright 1999-2001. Our fourth disc couldn't decide between being a showcase for new material, live stuff, or a space for re-recorded tunes to sound better. The fresh tunes underwent constant tinkering, the retreads finally saw us enter the year 1992 with digital multi-tracking, and the live stuff is probably an accurate representation of the overall messy chaos of our shows. The sum end result is more like an out-takes compilation. Album Notes
