Low Tide - Audio & Recordings
Albums:
Released March 11, 2008. Players: Keir DuBois- bass guitar/effects, Brian Wolff- guitar/effects, Bill Fedderson- drums/percussion. Produced by Keir DuBois. Low Tide's only full-length album is a soundtrack for my short fiction novel, published serially on the web in 2008, but you don't need to know the story to enjoy the tunes. The same echo-bass guitar that has fueled Honey White's "The Lightning Rod" now also powers an album's worth of instrumental, ambient post-rock, with crucial help from Bill and Brian. Since it's kind of a low-profile holding pattern release, and as an all-instrumental background music album it's not exactly chart-busting material, I decided to make it a limited edition of about 10-20 hard copies. Now that it's on iTunes, though, it's out for the whole universe, so the CDs are a rarity.

Demo E.P., released July 28, 1999. Players: Keir DuBois- bass guitar/keyboard, Bryn DuBois- drums/keyboard. Produced by Keir DuBois. This little disc was just me fooling around with the echo-bass sound I'd used on "Under The Sun" from the second Mojo Wire album. Bryn backed me up on three of the songs, which weren't really more than just jams. "Saturation" ended up as the song "The Peak Of My Career" on the final Mojo disc. "Whatever Gets You Going" later got fused with "Under The Sun" to make Honey White's song "The Lightning Rod." "Monsoon" is just a big echo-wank from late '97.
